A little about me... I live in Tunbridge Wells with my two boys and our rescue dog Ollie. As many can relate I'm sure, life has thrown a lot my way over the past few years but baking has given me a much needed new focus in my life - to be creative and developing a new business at nearly 50 is very exciting and I can't wait to see how it evolves.
I bake cakes from my certified home kitchen in Hawkenbury, Tunbridge Wells. I am doing my first food festival Feast Street at the end of May 2026 in Tunbridge Wells, I would love to see you there!
About Me
I've had a bit of a varied career to date - some of you may know me from my Little Rascals Nurseries days. I co-founded Little Rascals in 2010 and was Business & Finance Director before we sold it in 2018. Since then I have done lots of exciting things but nothing has felt quite right.
In May 2025 I joined Dragonfly Farm in Speldhurst to help Rachel and Mike launch their new cafe and farm shop (check it out of you haven't visited yet as it's amazing!). Last Summer was the unexpected start to my baking journey when I offered to make some cakes for the cafe when the local cake supplier was on a two week holiday. I had always baked my boys' birthday cakes (they still talk about the Ben 10 watch, and Minecraft cake), and I love cake, but that was the extent of my baking experience! I absolutely loved baking for the cafe and my cakes got such great feedback from customers, so I just kept on baking!
I have been practicing, learning, and developing recipes and my own style ever since. I now also bake for TW Coffee Pot in Ticehurst, and do private orders. I'm currently doing a Patisserie Level 1 course so I'm hoping my cakes will evolve over time to be even tastier with a contemporary modern patisserie style, so watch this space!
I recently decided to reduce my hours at Dragonfly Farm so that I have more time to bake and see where I can take my little cake business.
